Creating a book talk for young adults helped to emphasize the responsibilities of a children's/young adult librarian as reviewing, recommending, and doing reader advisory for children/young adults is one of the many responsibilities for a children's/young adult librarian.
LIS-5253 Community Relations and Advocacy
In creating a program that combined community relations and advocacy among the young adult demographic I learned the importance and necessity of combining civic duty with library programming for young adults.
LIS-5063 information and Communication technology
Social media is a prevailing technology that young adults use to communicate with their peers, as well as brands, celebrities, etc. Researching this topic afforded me the opportunity to learn aboutne method libraries are adapting in the face of technology to remain relevant.
