Goal
To learn about how libraries are adapting in the face of technology to remain relevant.
Objective
To understand how library collections are adapting to add physical items that are not books or media.
LIS-5970 Makerspaces
In doing research for the bike kitchen proposal I discovered the phenomenon known as the library of things where libraries have collections of non-traditional items such as cookware, tools, seeds, etc.
Learning about the library of things and other similar programming to my bike kitchen proposal helped me to better understand how libraries are meeting the aforementioned goal and objective I have set for myself.

Working with a classmate, we developed a proposal for a library whose sole collection is a collection of music made by Oklahoma natives. Understanding the procedures for creating such a collection helped to emphasize my goals and objectives.
