Goal

As I assembled the relevant information and resources needed for a program proposal, I learned more about all the working pieces that go into program planning, from budgets to personnel and everything in between. This research facilitated learning about engaging programming that fosters community and draws in children and young adults, which of course is one of my objectives.
LIS-5960 directed readings- GRAPHIC MEMOIRS AND LIBRARIANSHIP
At the end of my directed reading class, my adviser and I had agreed on a final assignment of a program proposal related to graphic memoirs, as well as the information I had learned about the subject throughout the semester.
As I pursued this mandate, I ascertained the depth of planning required for programming. I quickly realized how this project educated me on my goal to learn about some of the responsibilities of a children's/young adult librarian, as well as my objective to learn about engaging programming that fosters community and draws in children and young adults.
